art

read book overview great western art. some i've seen; all enormeous. i was surprised how many painters dissolute. and looking closely, although just a few samples; i didn't like a lot of it. been to tates. and v&a, natpo, etc. these art council types just like anyting HUGE. not huge? s'cheap. huge? size of entire building? oh, thats worth millions. they seem to read far too much in too litle. we think most modern art is actually a con. personally i hate picasso, and co. but i like some; modigliani, the non-landscape monets. i always thought i didn't like gaughan only seen it in books. then i walked into 3 after being mindlessly wandering in a room of grey etchings. he really hits you! impossible, but containing something alive and wild. goya seen what i seen i think. and van gogh...sorry. bloke has mild glaucoma, i can tell. the rest is schizophrenia/laudanum. and ocd; thats why there are about six versions of everything he painted.

dunno why i'm going on. got the stuff; going to try painting. did class wiv my sister years ago, but found i can't stand still lifes, and i get so sozzled in goo. not exactly promising. but i will have a go.

also read creative advertising. cleaned up home, cleared away old pc. watched several 'shorts'.

poem in bonce, writing it now. quite ill today, think doctor concerned? about time.
