the play

up early thoughts on play before la famille get here [when no thinking is possible].
1. singing ,music; i can't afford famous songs. i can't afford/find a composer. if i did, wot if i don't like the result? and can't write music.
2. also theme doesn't match. success doesn't equal greatness; fine. but why would a greatness be in a singer, partiularly?
3. going back to ancient greeks, very old stories. well my lead interacts with his own 'audience'? = a chorus, ancient style. so play must be written as if for the old ampitheatres; themes and story to match. instantly the modern flyweight conceptuals glare their deficiency.
4. so thats one problem. the other is language. play as it is now all mod. like films? one-liners, short on depth? so thats another thing just won't fit. i see now i was using the music/singing to dodge this issue. yet i personally think shakespeare style is indigestible.
5. so back to ancient sources for how to and what about...new play really.

doing that today. if i still standing after the visitors leave...
